One of the classic spots to get carnitas tacos. The meat will literally melt in your mouth as you consume this timeless classic. The service is very fast and the meat is chopped right in front of you. They also have delicious chicharron. If your visiting the south of mexico i highly recommend you stop in for a this salivating treat.

El venadito is indeed a tradition in the Southern part of the City. We had our regular maciza order, chicharron, some guac and I tried and was amazed by the “chiquita” (some sort of fried bacon/carnitas) —I can’t even explain these, but would definitely recommend at least a taco. We always have some micheladas and a tequila with “bandera” (lime and sangrita shot)
Me and my family have eaten from El Venadito for many years. Their Maciza is great, as well as the Chicharron. For the pandemic they are serving to-go orders in the back. They have valet parking and a dine-in on the street and indoors, as well. Definitely recommended for lunch if you’re around the area.
Food is delicious. This restaurant has been going for 70 years .. because it is so tasty. Try the Barbacoa, the Chicharon, the Carnitas. All superb. Those who know this secret restaurant keep going back. It's not a flashy venue, but see past that and enjoy the food. They also gave me a discount for paying cash, when it is very affordable anyway. Recommended !
This place is amazing!!! DELICIOUS, quite cheap, everyone was so nice and friendly. I just really don’t get why they’re never full! BEST TACOS ON EARTH! You should go if you like good and cheap food 3 I totally recommend it! You should go before you die!!! If this isn’t in your to do list, write it down. I’ve never eaten anything more DELICIOUS than this.
Very traditional carnitas and barbacoa, at very reasonable prices.
Forget every review I ever wrote about Mexico City restaurants. This is the place where you need to eat tacos. I was lucky to have my first tacos ever there. Or should I say unlucky? Because I never found better once’s. It’s a traditional place. Even the grandfather of my friend went to eat there.
